Itinerary

Monday, October 18

Begin your journey as you depart Cedar Knolls at 8:00 am. Arrive in Boston to explore Quincy Market. This afternoon, on your city tour, see the historic sights including the Old North Church, Boston Common, the Back Bay and Faneuil Hall. Continue north to New Hampshire and arrive at your hotel in Hampton Beach late this afternoon. Relax tonight by strolling along the boardwalk. Dinner is included.  (D)

Tuesday, October 19

This morning, following breakfast, depart for Cape Neddick, to view the Nubble Lighthouse, and Kennebunkport, past the home of  former President George Bush. Then stop in Freeport, where you will have time to shop at some of the 100 outlet stores, including L.L. Bean. Continue past Augusta, the state capital, to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor for a two night stay. Dinner this evening will be a traditional Maine lobsterbake.  (B, D)

Wednesday, October 20

After a leisurely breakfast, drive the Park Loop Road around Acadia National Park.  Stop at Sand Beach, Thunder Hole and ride to the top of Cadillac Mountain, the highest point on the east coast. Admire the parks untamed beauty and peacefulness. This afternoon you are free to explore Bar Harbor, browse through the shops, take a harbor cruise or just relax at your hotel.  (B)

Thursday, October 21

This morning meander along the rocky coast of Maine. Visit Camden, home to the windjammer fleet and private yachts. Then stop in Boothbay Harbor. The town is known for its cosmopolitan shops and excellent restaurants. This afternoon head south past Portland before arriving at your oceanfront hotel in Ogunquit. A farewell dinner is included.  (B,D)

Friday, October 22

Following breakfast, depart for Old Sturbridge Village where you will come face-to-face with the past and the events that shaped life in the late 1700s. This outdoor experience will catapult you into a rural New England town, where everyday life was a series of struggles and triumphs. Then leave for home with fond memories of your relaxing stay along the New England coast,  arriving home about 6:00 pm.  (B)

All hotels are located on the ocean.

CONDITIONS

A deposit of $100.00 ($169.00 with insurance) per person with the completed application is due as soon as possible.  Credit cards cannot be accepted for the deposit.  Make checks payable to Long’s Travel.

Final payment is due no later than September 1, 2010. 

*Please note that the price listed is a discounted price for payments by check. The price for payment by other means is $779.00 double and $989.00 single.

CANCELLATIONS

The following fees will apply per person for tour cancellations:

(These fees are waived if purchasing insurance and you have to cancel for a covered reason)

Cancellations up to August 1, 2010; $50.00.

Cancellations from August 2 - September 1, 2010; $100.00 per person.

Cancellations between September 2 - 6, 2010; $400.00 per person. 

No refunds after September 16, 2010.

INSURANCE

Cancellation/trip interruption insurance is available and highly recommended.  Please add $69.00 per person to your deposit.  Once purchased, the insurance premium is non-refundable.
