October 14 Begin your tour this morning as you depart Totowa at 8:00 am or Cedar Knolls at 8:30 am. Motor along the Connecticut coastline past New Haven. Stop at Sturbridge Village where you will come face-to-face with the past and the events that shaped life in the late 1700s. This outdoor experience will catapult you into a rural New England town, where everyday life was a series of struggles and triumphs. Continue to your home for the next three evenings. October 15 After a leisurely breakfast, depart for a day of sightseeing to Boston’s North Shore and Cape Ann. Visit the old fishing town of Gloucester, America’s oldest seaport, to see “Man at the Wheel” a memorial to fishermen that never came home. The area is depicted in the movie “The Perfect Storm”. Travel along the scenic coastline and past historic sea captains’ homes. Continue to Rockport Harbor and see its tiny fishing shacks, transformed into art galleries and shops. For lunch you may want to try the area’s specialty, fried clams or other seafood delights. Return to your hotel this afternoon with time to relax before dinner. Saturday, October 16 After breakfast, take the short drive Boston and start your city tour. See the historic sights including the Old North Church, Boston Common, the Back Bay, the USS Constitution and Faneuil Hall. There will be time to explore Quincy Market and have lunch. This afternoon, learn of the story of four generations of the Adams family from 1720 to 1927. This National Park has two main sites: the birthplaces of 2nd U.S. President John Adams and 6th U.S. President John Quincy Adams, and Peacefield including the “Old House,” home to four generations of the Adams family, and the Stone Library which contains more than 14,000 historic volumes. October 17 Depart this
morning for Providence, Rhode Island and take a tour of this vibrant
city. See the State House, Brown University, Federal Hill and the new Riverwalk.
After free time for lunch at the Providence Place Mall, depart for home with
fond memories of a wonderful trip. Arrive about 5:00 pm. CONDITIONS A deposit of $100.00 per person ($169.00 with insurance) along with the completed application is due as soon as possible. Final
