Step back to an era where turn-of-the-century ideals remain and automobiles are banned. Jaunt by private horse-drawn carriage on historic Mackinac Island and stay two nights at the world renowned Grand Hotel. As you approach, the first thing you will notice is the endless front porch. At 660 feet in length, it is the longest porch in the world. The hotel is on the list of the National Trust's Historic Hotels of America.

In addition to the Grand Hotel, all the properties on this tour have been chosen for their distinct style, historic charm or superb location. Stay in a renovated silo at the Quaker Square Inn, site of the former Quaker Oats Company and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The Dearborn Inn, built in 1931 by Henry Ford, is a historic 222-room hotel with Georgian style architecture and historic décor. An overnight stay in Frankenmuth is like stepping into an Old German Fairy Tale in Michigan's "Little Bavaria". And finally, the views from the hotel in Niagara Falls are quite spectacular.
