This peaceful village will have a lasting impression on anyone blessed enough to travel here. For this trip we have scheduled a short five night tour for those who just want to experience Dubrovnik and Medjugorye. Those who are able to plan a longer vacation will go on from Medjugorye to Seget Donji, Opatija, Bled & Ljubljana. Included features: · Roundtrip bus transportation from Notre Dame of Mt. 6:
Newark – Dubrovnik The
bus will depart from Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel parking lot this evening for the
overnight flight to Dubrovnik. October
7:
Dubrovnik Upon
arrival in Dubrovnik you will be met by our tour guide and transferred to the
hotel. The afternoon will be at
leisure to rest up or walk to the Old Town.
Tonight there will be a welcome dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight:

8:
Dubrovnik – Medjugorye This
morning enjoy a walking tour of “Old Dubrovnik” starting with St. Blaze
Church, the Rector’s Palace, Bell Tower Clock and the Sponza Palace.
After lunch on your own we’ll depart for Medjugorye driving along the
breathtaking Adriatic coast. Upon
arrival in Medjugorye your host family will welcome you warmly.
Attend the evening program at St. James Church before dinner in the
hotel. Overnight:

9, 10 & 11: Medjurgorye The
next three days will be spent in awe as we attend Mass, concelebrated by Father
Jude, visit the Apparition Hill and for those in very good shape, climb Holy
Cross Mountain. Meeting with
visionaries and Father Jozo will also be scheduled during this time.
In the evenings attend the recitation of the Rosary and the Healing
service at the St. James church. There
will be free time for shopping for the beautiful souvenirs by the church. Overnights:

12:
Split – Seget Donji Depart
after breakfast stopping at the airport in Split for those people not
continuing the trip. For the rest
of the group we’ll enjoy a Split city tour featuring the historic inner city,
built around Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Continue to Trogir where scholars from around the world gather to study
and paint. Tonight we’ll
overnight in Seget Donji, a small fishing village along the Adriatic coast. Overnight:

Seget Donji – Zadar – Opatija After
breakfast we head north along the coast to Zadar, the oldest Slavic city on the
Adriatic. We pause here for an
orientation tour that includes the ruins of the Roman Forum, the Cathedral and
St. Donat Church. Our journey continues as we drive along the incredibly
beautiful Dalmatian coast stopping for Mass at Our Lady of Trsat, built to
commemorate the transfer of the Holy House of Nazareth from Jerusalem to Loreto.
We arrive in Opatija in time for dinner. Overnight:

Opatija Today
is a day of leisure in this popular seaside resort.
Opatija is an elegant resort city lined with beautifully maintained
buildings with decorative facades and flower filled public gardens.
For those who wish we will offer an optional day tour to the romantic
city of Venice, Italy. Travel to
Venice by hydrofoil and then have a city tour before returning to Opatija. Overnight:

Opatija – Postojna – Bled We’ll
have a leisurely morning in Opatija and then head across the border into
Slovenia to Postojna, home of one of the largest caves in Europe.
Here we tour the fantastic subterranean world by miniature electric
train. Afterwards, our journey
continues to Bled, a resort area beautifully situated in the Julian Alps. Overnight:

Bled – Ljubljana Our
morning sightseeing tour features the town of Bled with the lakeshore and
includes a visit to Bled Castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake.
In the afternoon we travel to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia,
visiting the open-air market, the City Hall, Robba’s Fountain &
Parliament. Tonight we’ll have a
farewell dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight:

Ljubljana – Newark After breakfast you’ll be transferred to
the airport for the flight back to Newark.
The bus will be waiting to bring you back to Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel’s
parking lot. Conditions Deposit:
$350.00 per person (plus insurance). Make checks payable to Long’s Travel.
Final Payment is due by August 1, 2010. Price
is based on the exchange rate of $1.30 to the Euro and is subject to change at
time of final payment if the rate fluctuates more than 2%.
Select International Tours is the operator of this trip and they do not
take credit card payments. Insurance Insurance
is highly recommended and must be purchased with the deposit.
Insurance is with Travel Guard International. The cost for the short
tour, October 6-12, 2010 is $149.00 each. The cost for the long tour, October
6-17, 2010 is $239.00 each. Cancellation
Penalties These
fees are waived if you purchase insurance and you have to cancel for a covered
reason. Up
to July 5, 2010 there is a $100.00 per person cancellation fee. from
July 6 – Aug. 1, 2010 there is a $350.00 per person cancellation fee. After
August 1, there are no refunds Responsibilities Long’s

cannot be held responsible for any loss, delay, property damage, personal injury
you may suffer or incur on any component of this tour. Single
