October 2 Depart this morning and begin your exciting journey to the incredible Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. Before arriving, stop in the historic town of Williamsport, home of Little League Baseball. Take guided tour of the city and see “Millionaires Row” and the restored homes of the timber barons. This afternoon, board a replica of a Mississippi River paddlewheel boat and cruise along the Susquehanna River. Learn about its Then proceed to the rim of the Canyon at Leonard Harrison State Park. Enjoy amazing views of the area from the lookouts and learn about the flora and fauna in the museum. This afternoon, check into your hotel, Comfort Inn Mansfield for the evening. Dinner is included at a local restaurant. Sunday, October 3 After a leisurely breakfast, depart for a day of sightseeing. Travel into the Grand Canyon by horse-drawn wagon, pulled by powerful, beautiful, matched draught horses ... the way folks did in days gone by. Travel in comfort in handcrafted, open sided, covered wagons, equipped with padded seats, rubber tires and shock absorbers designed to make this an enjoyable ride. Travel along the old railroad bed through Pine Creek Gorge and listen to tales of the Canyon from your local guide. There will be time to explore the town of Wellsboro with its quaint shops and small town charm. This afternoon visit the Tabor Museum which houses an extensive collection of Williamsport history and an amazing model train collection.
