For a short time every August, some of the finest thoroughbred race horses come to Saratoga to race at America’s oldest race course. Watch these beautiful animals from your reserved Grandstand seats and try to pick the winner of each race. The best part of racing is that you can still win if the horse comes in third! You will also visit Lake George and take a cruise on the lake.

Itinerary

Wednesday, August 25

Start out this morning at 8:00 am as you head for Saratoga and a “Day at the Races.”  Watch the thoroughbred action from your reserved Grandstand seats and try your luck as the horses take to the track and the excitement begins. After the races, it’s on to your overnight accommodation.  Dinner is included.

Thursday, August 26

After an included breakfast, depart for Lake George for a cruise on the Minne-Ha-Ha. Sail the crystal clear waters and admire the mansions that line the shore. This afternoon, there will be free time to explore the shops in town or visit Fort William Henry. Depart for home this afternoon, with arrival in Cedar Knolls about 5:00 pm.

Dress Code

You may dress casually during the tour. Shorts may be worn if you wish - see exception below.

Please note the dress code for the Saratoga Races:

Your seats are in the Grandstand - shirt & shoes required.

For access to the Clubhouse or Pavilion, no shorts or abbreviated attire. Gentlemen are required to wear collared shirts.

Dress appropriately for day 1.

Hotel

Queensbury Hotel - Glens Falls, NY

The hotel has a lounge, an indoor pool and health club.

CONDITIONS

A deposit - check only - of $50.00 ($89.00 with insurance) is due along with the completed application.

*This is the discounted price for payment by check. The cost for payment by other means is $259.00 double occupancy, $311.00 single occupancy and $249.00 triple occupancy.

CANCELLATION PENALTIES

The following fees will apply per person for tour cancellations:

Cancellations up to July 9, 2010; $25.00

Cancellations from July 10- 23, 2010; $150.00. 

There will be no refunds after July 23, 2010.

CANCELLATION INSURANCE

Cancellation insurance is recommended and must be purchased at time of booking. Please add $39.00 to your deposit. Once purchased, the insurance premium is non-refundable.
