Your Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 - Fri: Depart U.S. for Dublin
Depart U.S. on your overnight flight to Dublin.
Day 2 - Sat: Dublin Arrival
Land in Dublin Airport and head to the CIE Tours desk to arrange a group transfer to your hotel between 7:00 am and 12:00 noon. Your Victorian hotel is a few miles south of Dublin, overlooking Dublin Bay. In the evening meet your tour director for a welcome drink.
Day 3 - Sun: Dublin Castle & Taylor's Three Rock
This morning tour Dublin, renowned for its graceful Georgian townhouses and historic buildings.
Day 4 - Mon: National Stud & Japanese Gardens
Depart Dublin and visit the National Stud and Japanese Gardens in Kildare. Learn about horse breeding and see some of the magnificent horses. Take a walk around the charming Japanese Gardens, considered the best in Europe. Drive south stopping for photos of the Rock of Cashel and continue to your delightful hotel in Killarney. (B, D)
Day 5 - Tue: Muckross House & Kenmare
Just outside Killarney tour 19th century Muckross House to see elegant rooms with richly- crafted period furnishings. Drive to the colorful town of Kenmare and travel through Moll's Gap, a superb vantage point on the Ring of Kerry and stop at Ladies' View before returning to Killarney. (B, D)
Day 6 - Wed: "Titanic" Walk & Waterford Crystal
Travel through Country Cork to Cobh, the last scheduled port for the "Titanic." Take a brief walk with a local guide to see places associated with that fateful journey. Visit the Waterford Crystal Factory where skilled craftspeople create this famous crystal from molten glass. See the vast display of trophies and tableware before you continue to Wexford. (B, D)
Day 7 - Thu: Ferry to Wales & Bristol
Depart Wexford and catch the Rosslare ferry to South Wales. Journey through South Wales, passing former coal mining valleys and Cardiff. Drive to Bristol, an interesting city with buildings from different eras, and check in to your hotel. (B, D)
Day 8 - Fri: Roman Baths & Stonehenge
Tour the spa town of Bath to see the Royal Crescent and the Circus and visit the Roman Baths and Pump Room, still preserved after two millennia. Drive to Salisbury Plain to view the prehistoric circle of vast monoliths at Stonehenge. Continue your drive into London to your hotel near Regent's Park. (B)
Day 9 - Sat: London Sightseeing
Today you may join your open-top sightseeing bus tour whenever you wish. Stops at all of London's famous landmarks are included - Buckingham Palace, St. Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London - so you may get on and off wherever you wish. (CB)
Day 10 - Sun: Depart for Home
As today is departure day, travel to Heathrow Airport by group coach transfer. Transfers to Gatwick Airport can be arranged at additional cost. (CB)
